2020年世界標(biāo)準(zhǔn)日 | 標(biāo)準(zhǔn)保護(hù)地球

 

20201014日是第51屆世界標(biāo)準(zhǔn)日。為了彰顯標(biāo)準(zhǔn)在資源保護(hù)、綠色發(fā)展方面的重要意義,國(guó)際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化組織(ISO)、國(guó)際電工委員會(huì)(IEC)、國(guó)際電信聯(lián)盟(ITU)將今年世界標(biāo)準(zhǔn)日的主題確定為“標(biāo)準(zhǔn)保護(hù)地球(Protecting theplanet with standards),并聯(lián)合發(fā)布了2020年世界標(biāo)準(zhǔn)日祝詞。

地球是浩瀚太陽(yáng)系中為數(shù)不多的生命之舟,地球上的所有生命都依賴于太陽(yáng)的能量。然而,在過(guò)去的一個(gè)世紀(jì)里,現(xiàn)代文明活動(dòng)中人類和大規(guī)模的工業(yè)活動(dòng)使得地球的溫室氣體不斷增多,給全球氣候和人類生活帶來(lái)了負(fù)面影響。與此同時(shí),隨著人口的快速增長(zhǎng)和城市化的不斷擴(kuò)張,地球上的有限資源應(yīng)被負(fù)責(zé)任地使用。

為減少人類對(duì)地球的影響,我們需要強(qiáng)有力的政治意愿,采取具體行動(dòng)并使用正確的方法。國(guó)際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)就是其中的正確方法。由國(guó)際電工委員會(huì)(IEC)、國(guó)際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化組織(ISO)和國(guó)際電信聯(lián)盟(ITU)制定的國(guó)際標(biāo)準(zhǔn),為應(yīng)對(duì)技術(shù)挑戰(zhàn)提供了切實(shí)可靠的解決方案,有助于在發(fā)達(dá)國(guó)家和發(fā)展中國(guó)家廣泛分享專業(yè)技能和知識(shí)。標(biāo)準(zhǔn)覆蓋了節(jié)能、水資源和空氣質(zhì)量等方方面面,提供了標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化的規(guī)制和測(cè)量方法。標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的廣泛使用有助于減少工業(yè)生產(chǎn)和過(guò)程對(duì)環(huán)境的影響,促進(jìn)有限資源的再利用,提高能源效率。

 

Protectingthe planet with standards

 

Earth, a finite vessel of life in the vastness of our solar system.Life on earth depends on energy coming from the sun. However, over the lastcentury human and large-scale industrial activities of our modern civilizationhave added to the earths natural greenhouse gases. They negatively impact ourclimate and with it all forms of life. At the same time rapid population growthand broad urbanization call for the responsible use of limited resources. 

To reduce human impact on our planet, we need the political will,concrete action and the right tools. International standards are one such tool.The international standards prepared by IEC, ISO and ITU take into accounttried and true solutions to technical challenges.  They help share expertise and expert know-how broadly withindeveloped and developing countries alike. Standards cover all aspects of energysavings, water and air quality. They lay down standardized protocols andmethods of measurement. Their broad use helps reduce the environmental impactof industrial production and processes, facilitates the reuse of limitedresources and improves energy efficiency.
